Welcome to the Carshalton Motorcycle Club Website.

We are members of the ACU and the South East Enduro Combine. You can also find us on our Facebook page. Please have a look around our website. There is a link to the South East Enduro Combine who with the help of local clubs runs a yearly Enduro Championship for both Timecard and Hare and Hounds Events.

Club history

The Carshalton Motorcycle club, formed in 1924 is a club that has been gifted over its history with so many members, all showing great enthusiasm, some going further by making their own special and major contributions to motorcycling. The talent and achievements of such members as Mike Riley, George Rowley, Arthur Bourne, Harry Louis, Professor Low and Hugh Palin will always be acknowledged within the history of the club.

From running Pillion passenger events in the late 1920’s to trials, scrambles and then enduros the club has always been involved with off-road sport.

Weekly club meetings at various pubs around Carshalton and club road runs were very common with over 100 members.

The popular annual Easter gathering at Dunster, the yearly Green Lane trips to Wales, the annual Dinner and Dance was all part of being a member of the Carshalton Motorcycle club.

As a club we also ran a very successful RAC/ACU Training School in the 60’s and 70’s first at a school in Rose Hill, Sutton and then at Croydon Airport.

Enduros are now a major part of the club with many riders past and present competing in events around the country as well as the local South East Enduro Combine Championships.

Green Lane meetings are also organised on a regular basis.

We also run a yearly Enduro event as part of the South East Enduro Combine Championship.
